About Us

About Farmhand Ltd.

Farmhand Ltd. is a licensed Ontario recruiting agency solving Canada's growing labour shortage — one placement at a time.

We started in agriculture, where the labour gap is most visible. Today we serve employers across food processing, construction, and general labour sectors, bringing the same rigorous worker screening and compliance standards to every placement we make.

Our pipeline connects Ontario employers directly with pre-screened workers from El Salvador — a source country underrepresented in Canadian TFW placements and unencumbered by the institutional gatekeeping that defines other recruiting corridors. We also place workers already in Canada with open work permits or permanent residency for employers who need labour immediately.

Farmhand is independently owned and operated, based in Barrie, Ontario. We are not a staffing franchise. We are not a volume broker. We are a hands-on agency that manages every placement from first contact to worker arrival.

Our Mission

To connect Ontario employers with reliable, legally compliant international workers — so you can focus on running your operation, not navigating red tape.

Our Values

  • Compliance first. We operate within every federal and provincial regulation, every time.

  • Transparency. Our pricing is published. Our process is explained upfront. No surprises.

  • Worker dignity. We do not charge workers fees of any kind. All recruitment costs are borne by the employer.

  • Accountability. If a placement does not work out, we work to resolve it — not disappear.
